history
In front of the façade of the Andrássy palace in Tiszadob, according to the taste of the period, a front garden was created with sculpted boxwoods and yews, and with János Fadrusz’s statue named Leányszöktetés in the centre. The most peculiar area of the park is a boxwood labyrinth shaped like a medieval lily and encircled by yews, which can still be wandered about in the rear garden of the palace.
The fabulous garden of the palace is bordered with a 500-hectare economic forest of ancient trees in the north and the Tisza river in the east. This remarkable natural environment gently embraces the majestic building.
